About Our App

The Project Live Happy app provides users with activities from top scientific journals that have been shown to increase well-being when practiced regularly.  Use them however you wish, the app has four sessions built in and we're interested in your feedback.

* In order to directly download, you will need to allow the installation of applications from unknown sources (in your phone settings, under "security").  It is recommended that you return this setting to it's default after downloading the Project Live Happy app

Research Participants: The link above will direct you to the Google Drive location where the Project Live Happy app is housed.  When signing up a new user account, please make sure to check the box labelled "I am using this app for the purpose of earning research participation credit."  For complete credit, we ask users to finish the exit survey after the four intervention sessions (30-day follow-up not required, but appreciated).

Note: this app features a four-week program, with lengthy surveys before and after the program, as well as multiple daily short surveys.  All data collected will be handled confidentially and your name and email address will never be connected to the data that you provide.  Summary data across all users, including demographic data, may be presented in future scientific publications.  For your rights as a research participant, click here.

Project Live Happy represents one area of a psychological research program founded at California State University, Bakersfield, with numerous collaborators at other campuses.
